When I started telling people that I had this crazy and surreal option to make a music album, I got a ton of support. (Thank you all!) I also got a lot of questions about what goes into an album. How does it work? How much does producing an album cost? Do people even buy CDs anymore? How can a songwriter support herself in this ‘digital age'?
All great questions. And I'm figuring out the answers in real time. But the biggest answer is that it takes a lot of work and a lot of help.
Help Share My First Album
I want to help as many people as possible hear these songs. Writing these songs have be an act of ministering to my soul, and I think hearing them can help other people. And if you want to help in sharing this album, your patronage would be incredible.
You might think that once an album is released, people will hear it. Sadly, that's not a guarantee. I've gone through the writing stage and the production stage, now I'm in the sharing stage. It takes time, effort, and resources to help more people hear this album.
A few of the avenues are social media, running Google ads, pitching press releases, trying to get a song on the radio, performing concerts. Those don't happen without work. And the work I pour into this can take me away from other areas in my life where I need to work... like a day job and keeping the lights on! So I need help in sharing this first album.

Since I started writing songs, I haven't really slowed down. It has been an absolute joy and honor to have the opportunity to release my debut album. And during the time it's taken to get that out into the world, I've kept writing songs. Which has led to finishing a second album.
It's written and it's waiting to be produced. But producing an album is not easy and it's not cheap. So I'm opening up the avenue for people to directly support the production and release of my second album.
